Mission: Educating, healing, and giving voice to the complex trauma of abuse through creative, holistic and spiritual practices.
Vision: To tell the story of trauma and transform ourselves, our communities and the world to live a life of purpose, creativity and joy.
Founded by Marta J. Luzim, MS, Give Her A Voice, Inc, (GHAV) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization developed to help women (and men) heal the complex trauma of abuse. Complex trauma is one of the most undiagnosed, misdiagnosed and invisible psychological, emotional and physical disorders of the human condition. Give Her A Voice redefines the faces of abuse, the myths of trauma, and the understanding of what heals trauma and abuse at the core. Through transformational storytelling and visual and performing arts, GHAV helps women (and men) identify, create awareness, discuss, process and understand the patterns of trauma that are an outcome of: physical, emotional, sexual, verbal and self abuse. Read more About Give Her A Voice. The Telling is Give Her A Voice's annual, transformational storytelling performance directed by Marta J. Luzim, MS and directed and choreographed by Lara Luzim of Break Through: Lara Luzim Dance. The Telling is a multi-media production of dance, monologue, music, and film. The Tellings light up the stage and unveil the poignant and passionate stories of women as they inspire the audience with their gutsy "real life" recovery from trauma and abuse.
Give a safe, supportive and sacred community for healing the trauma caused by abuse. Healing is Art in Action. Creative, spiritual and alternative processes are fundamental to recovery and a life of freedom. Assist, advise and educate women through the deep emotional, physical, and psychological repercussions of abuse. Validate each person’s story. To express is to heal!
