The devil came to visit me
One day as I planted seeds
Lean, dark hair and crimson eyes,
shoulders that lifted galaxies
Predator of young virgin hearts
Bluebeard, Tom, Dick, Harry
The devil came to visit me
His arms so smooth, his legs so creamy
I wanted to have him
I trembled at his touch arousing unleashed passions
The devil came to visit me
He stuffed my arms and legs into his medicine bag
Carried me off on his feverous stomach
to drunken road grills that sang a stink’n song
It sounded like heavens angels to me
His hair was that of starry darkness his smile a radiant abyss
I wanted to have him
I fainted away from his murky smell unable to control myself
The devil came to visit me
Filling me with nectars from exotic worlds
rapturous knowings and I thought I knew God
His ebony light intoxicated me, the silent way he moved,
sleeping beauty dreaming dreams
I wanted to have him.
I’ll give you all I have, jewels, castles, power beyond this universe
I wanted to have him
So polite was he, giving me all he has,
I bowed to his generosity kissing his hot mouth
Happy to be adored and adorned
The devil came to visit me
He entered my heart and sucked the juices of my soul
Inwardly I felt his desires to drink my bloodwine
and be his empty bowl
You will dance with me he said
You will be my messenger to the people
You will bear the sign of the skull and bone
Bring to me all the ladies who yelp like wild animals
And the ones who yearn so much for fame
And the ones who bury the young sucking their blood
They will never know
That I have given you my arms and legs
My ragged burnt hair, my drooling smile
They will never know you beat within my wretched heart
and wear my darkened soul
So wise thought I he to be
that I sang a tempestuous song that blinded
the oceans and covered the sky with red flames
And all came to me who heard his word
I wandered from moon to moon
Calling out the names of homeless vagabonds
Filling myself up with all they had left behind
Never suspecting that they lived in the underworld
For it looked bright through the veils of treachery and hypocrites
An angel came to visit me
While I was passing across the bridge of death
Lean, starry, heaven blue eyes,
carrying galaxies on his shoulders.
Piper of childhood play and pure hearts
Gabriele, John, Peter, David
An angel came to visit me
My arms were rough my legs scaly and sore
I wanted him to heal me
So enamored by his melodic voice and sultry breath
My heart was blown into the stars
An angel came to visit me
holding in his wing tips my arms and legs
he bridled me on his rippled back
to harp born groves filled with heartfelt song
It sounded like heaven’s strumming fingertips
His hair was dried silky wheat his smile a sky blue cloud
I wanted to have him
I swooned from his lavender smell unable to keep earthen bound
An angel came to visit me
filling me with juices from the Gardens of Eden
utopian visions encircled my inner eye and I knew God
He said your darkness has intrigued me, the voluptuous way you sway
silky blackness bewitching my every thought I want to see
He wanted me
I’ll give you eternal life, endless love, power of your true self
I wanted him
So kind was he giving me such splendor
I wrapped my legs around his cool thighs
happy to once again be courted and admired.
An angel came to visit me
He captured my heart and enlightened my soul
Inwardly, sweet moons and stars
filled my empty bowl
You will fly with me he said
You will be my channel to the many
You will bear the sign of the star and lotus
Bringing all the women who romance the young
And the ones who crave for salvation
And the ones who rock their babies to lullabies
They will never know that I have given you my wings and feet
Given you my hair of gold and you wear my sparkling jacketed spirit
That I have given you my brilliant smile
Opening your heart to the soul of rainbow divas
So majestic thought I he be
that I sang a harmonious song that awakened
the rivers and covered the heavens in glowing hues of pink
And all came to me who heard his melody
I wandered from sun to sun
Calling out the names of well-fed empires
filling myself up with all they had given to me
Never suspecting that they lived in the clouds
for it looked so real through the maze of spaced out rebels
My voice came to sing to me
One day as I trotted among the lilies
I listened carefully and heard a sound that spoke my words
My face reflected in the mirrored pond
And a glimpse of my only being beckoned to me
Unfamiliar with myself
I saw the devil in my eyes
And an angel in my mind
A roaring pain ripped at my seat
In the bottom of my fire
My arms, my legs, my hair, my smile
stolen by my shepherd
My heart, my soul, my spirit, my mind
hidden from my insight.
My voice came to sing to me
stroking, rocking, rolling, soothing, boozing
breathing me back to my body.
I wandered forty days and forty nights
a leper to myself
Wearing the shoes and earrings of others
I prayed to the Goddess of myself
Bring me home to where I live and never
let me stray from the roots of my tree
Never let me tempt myself to see external
ways to be
A test of time rages in the rags of ignorance
My voice came to sing to me
Screaming in my ears, tearing apart all of the rest
leaving a hole within a whole
My voice came to sing to me
As I restlessly walk the world
Now I’m born to live again embracing
the devil’s angel that stalks me day and night
I have my arms, my legs, my hair, my smile
my heart, my soul, my spirit
They are mine to keep or give away
The choice is forever in my bite long lasting
My voice came to sing to me
Goddess of myself, within my living being
Hallelujah A- woman.
